Mowing is frequently considered our bread and butter service. With 3 different mowers all fully fitted with equipment to handle different scenarios we are well equipped to provide a wide range of mowing services. Every outfit we run utilises a mower combination as opposed to a simgle mounted or pull type mower. The advantage of this is that there are no wheel tracks left uncut as we never need to drive over any uncut crop. Equally the increased working width of the machine means fewer passes over the field, this combined with flotation tires helps to keep compaction to a minimum.

All our mowers are equipped with fully adjustable conditioners and wide spreading kits to distribute the cut grass over the full working width and promote rapid wilting. Alternatively our CLAAS Disco 3200FC & Disco 3600C combination has the ability to leave the crop in windrows for those wishing to bale themselves without raking, or for those with a smaller rake.

For those wanting to make Silage or Baleage we offer our 9200C Autoswather. This machine uses belt mergers to windrow the material to the centre ready for the following machine, without the need for raking. This both removes the expense of raking as well as virtually eliminating contamination of the cut crop. The closed cutting bed ensures 100% of the cut material ends up in the row, reducing leaf loss to zero, while the conditioners and automatic belt control ensure a perfect fluffy row every time with adequate wilting to make top quality silage. This is also the perfect way to make wholecrop silage.
